I’m an amateur late twenty-something photographer based out of Boston, with an unrelated 9-5.

I took some abstract fireworks photos last night on Boston’s Esplanade - this (and some that will follow in the coming days) were captured with a long manual exposure (between 3-10 seconds, on ‘bulb’ mode with a remote shutter) starting with the image out of focus, and then focusing in to infinity before closing the shutter again. This is one of my favorites - it reminds me of underwater grasses and bubbles of air.
